Faded Paint

Faded Paint
The paint is cracked upon the canvas frame
A story told by hands now still with age
Each stroke once bright, but now it looks the same
As time has blurred the lines upon the page

I stand before the work I thought would last
But every color fades, like days gone by
I tried to capture love, but time moves fast
And leaves me here to watch it slowly die

Faded paint and weathered hands
Time erodes what love demands
We chased the colors, chased the flame
But in the end, it’s all the same

The art we made, the love we drew so bold
Is fading now, but still, I hold it near
For even in the rust, there’s love untold
A memory that time will never clear

Faded paint and weathered hands
Time erodes what love demands
We chased the colors, chased the flame
But in the end, it’s all the same
