Edge of the Fall

Edge of the Fall

The world is a shadow, so hollow and cold,
chasing illusions that never grow old.
The mask that I wear keeps me trapped inside,
pretending to live but I’ve already died.

In this darkened corner, I find my release,
the chaos inside brings me no peace.
Every step forward, I feel the chains snap,
I thought I was free, but I fell in the trap.

Silence surrounds, the walls are closing in,
I search for a way out, but I can’t begin.
The lies that I told, the price I’ve paid,
in the shadows, I’ll forever be weighed.

We’re standing on the edge of the fall,
a breath away from losing it all.
The cracks in our souls, they start to show,
we’re standing on the edge, and we let it go.
